It appears that one of the particular joys of participation is that there is always another mistake for me to make!
My intent in favoring implicit attribution of the artwork was to not be presumptuous or promiscuous in the use of another person's name. However, I now realize this approach is both inadequate and inconsistent. My initial measures to credit the artwork might have been appropriate in themselves, but I do see how they were also insufficient.
The simple (and in retrospect, obvious) lesson I have learned this week is to employ explicit (rather than implicit) attribution regarding the original work of others.

A credit for the art would be appreciated. I would hate for people to think it was public domain. thanks. -JT-
